It's typical for most of us to lean towards fruit juice when trying to stay healthy. Fruit is good for us, right? It's WAY better than soda or alcohol or coffee, right? (Particularly when you're making a choice for your kids, in which case alcohol and coffee shouldn't be options at all...)
The scary thing is that the rules around "fruit juice" are pretty shocking. You only need a fraction of a fruit in the drink to label it as such and the sugar quite often outstrips options you'd consider bad for you.
