This makes a great, simple, yet effective, all purpose cleaner - use it for kitchen counters, windows, mirrors, bathrooms and even for cleaning your fruit and veggies, anything really! Vinegar is an age old disinfectant and deodorizer. The orange peels and cinnamon are mostly to take away the pungent smell of the vinegar. Actually, orange oil, which is extracted from the peel, is used in aromatherapy to create a feeling of happiness and warmth - I’m sure we could all use a little of that while doing housework.

Simple. Healthy. Tasty. 5 minute Spring salad

The one problem with trying to be healthy, is that everyone assumes it involves copious amounts of salad and nothing else. A girl can't survive on salad alone. But this quick and tasty salad might make me want to give it a try. Its delicious. Its also a good idea with Spring here, and Summer soon...

Ingredients for dressing:
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove finely chopped
crushed sea salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard

Greens: Whatever is seasonal. Rocket, lettuce, watercress, spinach
1/4 chopped onion, red onion gives it some nice colour
1/4 cucumber cut lengthways and sliced
1 chopped tomato or a handful cherry tomato
handful of depipped olives
Optional: Half a round of feta
Also optional: a tin of tuna for some protein

Put all the dressing ingredients directly into the salad bowl. Swirl the bowl for about 30 seconds so the oil and vinegar mix. The put the greens in, and the rest of your salad ingredients on top. Toss and eat.
